Now is the time in your life to cut back on the square footage of your home so you have less house work to take care of on a regular basis. You also want to keep in mind that a smaller house will cost you less to heat and cool.

Spend some time checking out the area surrounding the house you are thinking about buying, and make sure it is going to have plenty of options to offer you.
Consider the amenities
Now is the time for you to end up with a home you can be happy in for years to come. If you want a home with a pool, then you should award yourself this. If you like the idea of walking down the embankment of your own yard and doing a little fishing, then you should be looking for a home with a body of water for fishing on the property.
